Job Title:
Facility & Equipment Maintenance Team Member Job Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Facility & Equipment Maintenance Team Member to help keep our restaurant, equipment, and property in excellent condition. This role focuses primarily on facility and equipment upkeep, planned preventative maintenance, and general interior and exterior maintenance, with routine cleaning and sanitation responsibilities included as part of maintaining the overall facility. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, comfortable working independently, and able to identify maintenance needs before they become larger issues. This position plays an important role in ensuring our restaurant remains safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained for both our team and our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Facility & Equipment Upkeep Perform routine and planned preventative maintenance on restaurant equipment and facility areas. Complete general interior and exterior facility upkeep. Identify maintenance or repair needs and communicate concerns to leadership. Assist with minor facility and equipment maintenance as appropriate. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns. Help ensure equipment, fixtures, and facility areas remain clean, functional, and in good condition. Report equipment damage, facility concerns, or unusual conditions promptly. Exterior Maintenance Maintain the cleanliness and overall appearance of exterior areas. Power wash sidewalks as needed, including routine morning upkeep. Power wash and maintain the trash corral. Keep exterior areas free of debris and address general property upkeep needs. Cleaning & Sanitation Sweep, scrub, and mop floors throughout the facility. Maintain clean floors and baseboards. Clean and sanitize restrooms. Clean trash cans and waste areas. Clean windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces. Clean thaw cabinets inside and out. Complete additional cleaning tasks as needed to maintain facility standards. Safety & Supplies Follow all safety procedures when using tools, equipment, and cleaning chemicals. Ensure cleaning and maintenance supplies are properly stored. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate corrective action or notify leadership. Monitor cleaning and maintenance supply levels and notify leadership when supplies need to be replenished. Keep maintenance and cleaning storage areas organized. Additional Responsibilities Respond to unexpected facility, maintenance, or cleaning needs as they arise. Assist with other facility and equipment upkeep projects as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
Available Monday-Saturday for a 10:00am to 7:00pm shift, and/or varying shifts based on the needs of the business. Previous experience in facility maintenance, equipment upkeep, preventative maintenance, cleaning, or a similar role is preferred but not required. Comfortable using basic maintenance tools, cleaning equipment, and cleaning chemicals safely. Able to follow preventative maintenance schedules, instructions, and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize when something needs attention. Able to work independently with minimal supervision while also working effectively as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a strong work ethic. Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and walk for extended periods. Ability to perform physical maintenance and cleaning tasks throughout a shift. Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments and around cleaning products and equipment.
