We manage the Powell Community Center, a vibrant 80,000 square foot family-oriented facility that offers diverse fitness, sports, and social programs designed to promote health, vitality, and community engagement, as well as the Mission Family Aquatic Center and several parks. Job Summary The City of Mission is seeking team-oriented individuals to join our Parks + Recreation team at Powell Community Center. You will join a great team while performing semi-skilled work in the care and maintaining of the City buildings and grounds. Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have experience in daily maintenance of buildings and grounds as well as handling repairs such as painting, patching sheetrock, wallpaper, electrical and plumbing work. This position also assists in management of the Brightly maintenance work ticket system. Lastly, this job will also be expected to perform custodial work including cleaning of buildings and grounds and set-up and take-down of equipment for facility rentals and special events as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1-3 years performing general building and facility maintenance, including routine repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. Preferred qualifications include experience with a computerized work order/ticketing system, with the ability to prioritize, track, and document work requests from initiation through completion, and coordinating with outside contractors when specialized work is required.
