Job Description
Great Opportunity for Maintenance Mechanic position at Old Neighborhood Foods. Old Neighborhoods Foods celebrating its 112th year in business as a 4th generation family owned company. We strive on supplying our customers with superior products which starts with using superior ingredients with a state of the art plant and equipment. As we continue to grow our business and product line we seek a full-time swing shift mechanic with a strong passion and understanding of machinery and mechanical equipment.
Mechanic Position:
The ideal candidate pays attention to detail, has a technical understanding of how machines work, and shows initiative and a willingness to be proactive in this position. Main responsibility will be upkeep and preventative maintenance of our machines and equipment. Hours are flexible but ideally would be around 2pm to 11:30pm.Maintenance mechanic job duties:
Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor system, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoot malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. The right candidate will have at least three years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing industry. The ability to read prints, capable electrically and work with PLCs is important. Quick thinker, great with your hands, being proactive and willingness to help anywhere are needed.
