Maintenance Technician 1st shift! Pay up to $38/ hour! Job Description This role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial production equipment in a job shop environment. You will work hands-on with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems to ensure equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. The position involves preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, with a strong emphasis on safety and continuous skill development. Responsibilities Troubleshoot mechanical systems in an industrial or production environment to quickly identify and resolve equipment issues. Inspect, repair, and replace hydraulic components, ensuring safe and efficient operation of hydraulic systems. Inspect, repair, and replace pneumatic components, maintaining reliable performance of pneumatic systems. Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on production equipment, including diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to support accurate diagnostics and repair activities. Perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Support press maintenance activities, including inspection, adjustment, and repair of press equipment. Conduct electrical maintenance tasks as needed to keep equipment operating safely and within specification. Work safely at all times, following established safety procedures and contributing to a strong safety culture. Collaborate with plant leadership and team members on the production floor to prioritize maintenance tasks and support operational needs. Essential Skills Hands-on experience troubleshooting mechanical systems in an industrial or production environment. Proficiency with hydraulics, including inspection, repair, and replacement of hydraulic components. Proficiency with pneumatics, including inspection, repair, and replacement of pneumatic components. Ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on production equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams. Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial machinery. Experience with press maintenance and electrical maintenance. Strong commitment to working safely and following safety procedures. Skill in PLC troubleshooting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with belt drives. Familiarity with heaters used in industrial or production environments. Experience using and maintaining grinders. Press knowledge, which is a significant plus. Interest in upskilling and expanding technical capabilities in an industrial setting. Why Work Here? The environment includes work on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, as well as presses, grinders, belt drives, and related industrial machinery. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
