Job Overview SnapPane is seeking an outgoing, organized, and detail-oriented Door Sales & Retail Specialist to join our growing team in Mount Airy, Maryland. In this role, you will assist contractors and homeowners at our new showroom and retail counter, helping them explore ideas and select made-to-order door products for residential and commercial projects. You will guide customers through product styles, configurations, finishes, hardware, and other available options while providing knowledgeable, attentive service. In addition to our door products, SnapPane supplies made-to-order window products directly to contractors. This position will help support our contractor customers with window product selections, estimates, quotes, and order processing. Estimating will be a major component of this position. When you are not assisting showroom customers or handling retail responsibilities, you will prepare door and window estimates and support the sales and estimating needs of other areas of the company. This position is ideal for an experienced salesperson who enjoys working with customers, is highly attentive to detail, and wants the opportunity to help develop a new division within a fast-growing company. Our made-to-order products include entry doors, interior doors, interior glass enclosures, sliding patio doors, folding patio doors, residential and commercial window systems, and door and window maintenance products. Responsibilities Welcome contractors and homeowners into the showroom and help them identify products that meet their project needs, preferences, and budgets. Guide customers through available door styles, materials, configurations, finishes, hardware, and accessories. Assist contractor customers with window product selections, specifications, estimates, quotes, and orders. Prepare accurate door and window estimates and proposals for residential and commercial projects. Support estimating needs for other areas of SnapPane when not assisting retail customers. Review measurements, construction plans, specifications, product schedules, and manufacturer information. Develop relationships with contractors, homeowners, property managers, and other potential customers. Follow up on showroom leads, contractor inquiries, open estimates, and sales opportunities. Process made-to-order door and window selections and customer orders accurately. Operate the point-of-sale system and process payments, returns, and retail transactions. Enter customer information, estimates, sales opportunities, and follow-up activity into the company CRM. Answer incoming calls and respond to customer questions. Coordinate orders with manufacturers, vendors, installers, delivery personnel, and other members of the SnapPane team. Recommend complementary products and services when they would benefit the customer's project. Maintain showroom displays, samples, product literature, and retail merchandise. Assist with receiving, organizing, and occasionally handling products. Provide dependable customer service before, during, and after each sale. Help develop and grow SnapPane's new Mount Airy door shop and contractor window business. Requirements Five or more years of sales experience is preferred. Experience with doors, windows, building materials, construction products, home improvement, or retail sales is highly valued. Strong communication and customer service skills. Comfortable working with both homeowners and experienced contractors. Highly organized and capable of managing multiple estimates, orders, appointments, and customer follow-ups. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Motivated to grow sales and develop long-term customer relationships. Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities. Basic math skills for measurements, estimating, and product calculations. Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new programs and systems. Valid driver's license required. Ability to perform limited lifting and product handling as needed. Experience reading construction plans, specifications, measurements, or product schedules is strongly preferred. $30,000-$55,000 per year, based on experience and schedule, plus profit sharing Expected hours: 30-40 per week
