Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Looking for experienced Maintenance Technician for 1sft shift! Schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00 - 3:30 pm. Yale Cordage, a division of the Slingmax Group, is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, mechanically inclined, and committed to safety and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machines and facility equipment Respond to emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and complete scheduled maintenance during downtime Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems Perform basic machinist work including drilling, cutting, milling, and turning Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and work orders Diagnose issues, repair or replace parts, and test equipment to ensure proper operation Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed (MIG welding preferred) Complete basic plumbing and carpentry repairs Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and material handling equipment safely and effectively Identify and report faulty operations, defective materials, or safety concerns Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications 2-3 years of maintenance or related experience in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills across multiple systems Experience with electrical systems (preferred) PLC experience is highly desirable Welding experience (MIG preferred) Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals Basic math and computer skills (Outlook, Excel) Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills Self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly Ability to stand for extended periods Must be able to climb, stoop, and work overhead Full hand and finger dexterity required Must have own basic hand and mechanic tools .Job Type:
