If this is attractive to you, we are looking to add a Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift to our Taylor, Michigan team!WHAT YOU'LL DO
Primary Function Summary Communicates directly with the production department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas. Communicates directly with QA department to ensure effective participation by the maintenance technicians in the implementation of QA policies and procedures. Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues. Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain and repairs maintenance shop equipment. Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary. Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems. Assists with hiring of maintenance personnel. Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc. Ensures city, county, state, and federal regulations relating to the maintenance department are met all times. Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices, such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Proven ability to work well in a team environment. Possess strong motivational and leadership skills Excellent problem-solving skills. Excellent work record history. Basic computer skills, including P.C knowledge and current technology software familiarity. Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to communicate with staff well. Ability to regularly stand or work for long periods of time. Ability to regularly lift/or move up to ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds, and occasionally lift to fifty (50) pounds.
