$22.00 - $38.00 per hour Multiple Shifts Available! At Hormel Foods , your pay is based on your experience, technical skills, qualifications, and local market conditions. The hiring range for this position is $22.00 to $38.00 per hour , with opportunities for pay progression, performance incentives, and career advancement. We are seeking motivated maintenance professionals who enjoy troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working with advanced industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do As a Maintenance Technician, you will help ensure the reliability and efficiency of plant equipment by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and completing repairs across multiple systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment. Diagnose, calibrate, maintain, and repair electromechanical and state-of-the-art automated equipment. Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation. Adhere to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and plant safety regulations. Complete preventative maintenance (PM) activities on assigned equipment and systems. Assist maintenance team members with work orders and scheduled maintenance projects. Perform bench scale maintenance and repair activities. Support electrical, mechanical, boiler/refrigeration, wastewater treatment, and utility systems as needed. Participate in the facility Emergency Response Team when required. Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance. Perform additional duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications At least 1 year of electrical maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related technical experience . Ability to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems independently. Experience using multimeters, diagnostic tools, and electronic testing equipment. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and wiring layouts. General understanding of plant electrical distribution, power systems, and utility infrastructure. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently and efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety. Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds or more as needed.
