Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician, in a private school environment, and become a vital contributor to ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing a wide range of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. Your expertise will help uphold safety standards, improve equipment performance, and support the overall efficiency of our operations. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, lighting systems, toilets, sinks and kitchen appliances to ensure optimal functionality. Change out belts, filters and clean condenser coils on HVAC equipment. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used; utilize maintenance management software effectively. Collaborate with team members to lead small maintenance projects or assist in construction-related tasks when necessary. Assist with maintaining grounds, shrubs, snow removal/salting sidewalks, leaf blowing, weed killing, occasional grass trimming Assist with assembly set-ups and take downs, including tables and chairs General Building Maintenance including painting, carpentry, drywall patch and repairs Requirements Proven experience as a maintenance technician with strong repair skills and mechanical knowledge. Hands-on experience with Led light change outs, ballasts, switches and receptacles. Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operations practices across various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems including flush valves and sink repairs . Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately for troubleshooting researching parts and making repair recommendations. Strong customer service skills with a proactive approach to resolving client concerns efficiently. Construction experience or familiarity with building maintenance is a plus. Leadership qualities that support team collaboration and mentorship in maintenance tasks. On-call for inclement weather, weekend events or as assigned by supervisor.
