Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician and become a vital part of ensuring the seamless operation of our facilities. The Manufacturing Facility Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This position supports both preventive and corrective maintenance activities while maintaining compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
Responsibilities Preventive Maintenance:
Perform routine and scheduled inspections, servicing, and maintenance on manufacturing equipment, other facility assets to minimize downtime and prevent equipment failures.
Reactive Repairs:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and structural issues. Replace defective parts and restore equipment and facility systems to proper working condition in a timely manner.
Building and Facility Upkeep:
Complete general maintenance tasks, including minor carpentry, painting, wall repairs, lighting maintenance, filter replacements, and other facility improvement projects to maintain a clean and functional work environment.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to OSHA regulations, fire safety requirements, environmental standards, and company policies. Identify and address potential safety hazards to help maintain a safe workplace for all employees.
Documentation and Recordkeeping:
Accurately document maintenance activities, completed repairs, preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, and inventory usage using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Vendor and Contractor Coordination:
Work with outside contractors, vendors, and licensed specialists for complex repairs or inspections. Provide facility information, coordinate access, and monitor work to ensure compliance with company standards.
Equipment Reliability:
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and improve operational efficiency.
Emergency Response:
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions and ensure employee safety. Experience High school diploma or GED required; technical training or maintenance certification preferred. Previous experience in industrial, manufacturing, or facility maintenance preferred. Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Experience using maintenance software or CMMS systems is preferred. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment, including standing, bending, climbing ladders, and operating maintenance tools and equipment. Work Environment This position operates within a manufacturing facility and may require exposure to machinery, noise, varying temperatures, and production environments. $25.00 - $26.44 per hour
