Overview Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Maintenance Staff member, where your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks across our facilities. Your proactive approach and technical skills will ensure the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our environment, supporting our commitment to excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment. Perform repairs on electrical equipment using schematics, ohmmeters, and other hand tools to troubleshoot issues effectively. Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and drainage to ensure optimal operation. Carry out HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure climate control systems operate efficiently. Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical problems. Execute carpentry tasks such as building interior structures or repairing facilities fixtures with precision. Support facilities equipment maintenance including painting, drywall repairs, and general building interior upkeep. Operate hand tools and electrical equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects and oversee the use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for tracking work orders. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or tenants. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during major repairs or upgrades when necessary. Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO), with knowledge of building interior maintenance and facilities upkeep. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience; familiarity with schematics and electrical work is essential. Hands-on skills with plumbing system maintenance and repair as well as HVAC system troubleshooting. Ability to operate hand tools, electrical equipment, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic devices safely. Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and electrical equipment repair is highly desirable. Knowledge of carpentry techniques for building or repairing interior structures. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork coordination. Supervising experience is a plus—demonstrating leadership in managing maintenance projects or teams. Familiarity with CMMS software for tracking work orders and maintenance history.
