Maintenance Technician The Recruiting Specialist Thomasville, NC Job Details Full-time $22 - $25 an hour 4 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications Teamwork Maintenance work Equipment troubleshooting High school diploma or GED Manufacturing facility experience Attention to detail Industrial maintenance Time management Full Job Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance on production machinery, including extruders, printing presses, and converting equipment Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues and implement timely repairs Conduct preventative maintenance according to established schedules Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions Install, test, and calibrate new equipment as needed Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Collaborate with production teams to improve equipment efficiency and reliability
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred Experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in plastics or packaging manufacturing Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, and mechanical components Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights or weekends if required
