Job Description

Lakeland Rehab and Nursing, a 201-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility, is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep and safety of our building and grounds.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, HVAC support) Respond promptly to work orders and resident room requests Assist with preventive maintenance and equipment inspections Maintain logs (temperature, smoke detector testing, safety checks) Support Life Safety Code and infection control compliance Keep interior and exterior areas clean, safe, and hazard-free Assist with room turnovers and furniture moves as needed

Requirements:

Prior maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general repair Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to respond to emergencies High school diploma or equivalent

Schedule:

Full-time; availability for occasional on-call/weekend coverage a plus. Lakeland Rehab and Nursing is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
