Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is career-oriented and eager to grow in the building operations and maintenance field. The ideal candidate will be a team player with basic knowledge of building systems and general repairs—or the willingness to learn. You'll be responsible for assisting with daily maintenance tasks, inspecting the property, handling light repairs, and working with vendors and contractors. A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to communicate and document work effectively are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
Some knowledge of the following is preferred but not required: plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, lighting, carpentry, drywall/sheetrock, plastering, painting, door/lock repairs, etc. Familiarity with building systems is a plus, but not required, including boiler and HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing systems, fire protection systems, security/access systems, elevators, and BMS (Building Management Systems). Must be a team player who is career-oriented, reliable, and accountable, with a willingness to learn. If unsure about a task, must be willing to ask questions and take the initiative to learn. Proactive and responsible, with the ability to inspect the property and identify and address issues before they arise. Must always maintain a professional demeanor. Ability to document work by taking before-and-after photos. Must be able to clearly describe issues and completed work using WhatsApp or another reporting tool. Assist with the supervision of contractors and vendors, as well as address tenant concerns. Enforce and uphold all building protocols, rules, and regulations. Experience with heavy-duty snow removal is preferred. Perform paver replacement as needed. Carry out all tasks in a professional and workmanlike manner.

$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
