Job Description
Top Lock Locksmiths & Security is a national lock, door, and electronic security company serving commercial clients across retail, healthcare, hospitality, and corporate facilities. We are expanding our field service team and are seeking experienced technicians who work to a high standard. The Role We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lock & Door Technician to service our national account clients. This is a hands-on mechanical role focused on commercial locksmithing and door hardware — installing, repairing, and maintaining locks, keying systems, door closers, exit devices, and commercial doors and frames. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of retail, healthcare, and corporate sites, often as the face of Top Lock in front of store managers and facility contacts. Duties Install, service, and repair commercial locksets including mortise, cylindrical, and deadbolt hardware, as well as high-security cylinders Rekey, pin, and service master key systems; originate and duplicate keys, including restricted keyways Install, repair, and adjust door closers, exit devices/panic hardware, hinges, pivots, and continuous hinges Diagnose and correct door alignment issues — sagging doors, frame problems, latch misalignment, thresholds, sweeps, and gasketing Perform site surveys and recommend appropriate hardware solutions tailored to client needs Maintain detailed documentation for every job — photos, parts used, service reports, and recommendations via our software Deliver excellent customer service on-site, clearly communicating work performed and next steps to client contacts •Low voltage experience, access control, CCTV, and door replacement experience is a PLUS! Requirements Proven experience as a commercial locksmith or commercial door hardware technician Strong mechanical knowledge of commercial lock hardware and major manufacturers Hands-on experience with master keying, rekeying, and cylinder work Experience servicing hollow metal, wood, and aluminum storefront doors and frames Ability to use power tools safely and effectively during installation and repair work Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose hardware and door issues quickly and accurately Excellent customer service orientation with clear, professional communication skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record — this is a field-based role Familiarity with electrified hardware or access control is a plus, but not required for this role Join us and be part of a dedicated team committed to safeguarding commercial properties by doing quality work, every time.
