3003323929-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Sunrise Medical Laboratories, Inc., a full-service clinical reference lab, seeks a Medical Lab Technician/Technologist to perform routine and complex diagnostic testing that supports physicians and patient care across the Mid-Atlantic. In this role, you will process and analyze specimens, operate automated analyzers, review and validate results, and follow strict quality control, safety, and regulatory standards. You'll collaborate with a professional, quality-focused team, use advanced laboratory technology, and benefit from ongoing learning, growth, and cross-training opportunities in a supportive, patient-centered environment. Responsibilities Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory tests on patient specimens Accurately process, label, and prepare specimens for analysis Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain automated analyzers and laboratory instruments Review, interpret, and validate test results, escalating critical values per protocol Perform and document quality control, calibration, and proficiency testing Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory and safety standards Use the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for order entry, result reporting, and documentation Collaborate with pathologists, technologists, and clinical staff to support patient care Follow biosafety, infection control, and proper PPE procedures at all times Participate in training, competency assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills Clinical chemistry testing Hematology and coagulation testing Microbiology and urinalysis techniques Specimen collection, processing, and labeling Operation of automated analyzers Laboratory Information System (LIS) use Quality control and proficiency testing Interpretation and validation of lab results CLIA and CAP regulatory compliance Infection control and biosafety practices
