Senior Maintenance Technician Ohio Farms Packing Co — Creston, OH Starting Salary range - $27.00 to $34.00 hourly Send resumes to resume@atlanticveal.com About the Role Ohio Farms Packing Co is looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician to take on our most complex mechanical and electrical challenges at our Creston, Ohio meat processing facility. You'll work with a high degree of independence, lead troubleshooting on difficult equipment issues, mentor less experienced technicians, and help drive reliability improvements across the plant. Responsibilities Lead diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic failures on production equipment Serve as the go-to resource for difficult troubleshooting on vacuum packaging machines, thermoformers, stuffers, skinners, and conveyors Mentor and provide technical guidance to Maintenance Technicians and Assistants Lead equipment installations, modifications, and upgrade projects Own and refine PM programs and work orders in the facility CMMS; identify gaps and recommend improvements Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring failures and drive corrective/preventive actions Coordinate with engineering and production leadership on equipment reliability initiatives Support compressed air, hydraulic, pneumatic, and refrigeration-related systems at an advanced level Maintain accurate, detailed maintenance records and documentation Follow and help enforce USDA, HACCP, food safety, and facility safety protocols Participate in and help coordinate on-call rotation for after-hours breakdowns Requirements 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment, including complex troubleshooting Advanced mechanical aptitude — expert at reading mechanical drawings, schematics, and parts manuals Strong experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical drive systems Solid electrical troubleshooting skills, including motor controls and wiring diagrams Demonstrated ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and mentor junior staff Ability to work in a cold, wet environment (facility operates at refrigerated temperatures) Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training strongly preferred Preferred Extensive experience in meat, poultry, or food processing Advanced experience with vacuum packaging or thermoforming equipment Strong CMMS experience, including PM program development PLC/controls familiarity Welding (MIG/TIG) and fabrication skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Compensation Competitive hourly rate based on experience, above standard Technician rate Benefits package - Health, Dental & Vision insurance available after 90 days Paid time off Overtime available
