Position Overview We are seeking a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team at our Euclid, Ohio facility. This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting production equipment, boilers, HVAC systems, compressors, utilities, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations. The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance while partnering with Production and Engineering to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically and electrically skilled professional who enjoys solving complex equipment challenges in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment to minimize downtime Monitor and maintain boilers, steam systems, HVAC equipment, compressors, and plant utilities Install, repair, and commission production equipment and support facility improvement projects Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings and schematics Respond quickly to equipment failures and emergency maintenance situations to restore production safely Maintain accurate maintenance records and support inventory of maintenance parts and supplies Follow all OSHA, safety, environmental, and company maintenance procedures while supporting continuous improvement initiatives What Success Looks Like High equipment reliability and improved production uptime Strong adherence to preventive maintenance schedules Timely and effective troubleshooting of equipment failures Safe operation of plant utilities and production equipment Accurate maintenance documentation and regulatory compliance Strong collaboration with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams Ideal Candidate Profile High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required Experience with boilers, HVAC systems, compressors, and industrial utility equipment preferred Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial control systems preferred Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics Boiler Operator License or equivalent technical certifications are a plus Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a commitment to safety and quality Why Join Elmet Technologies Support advanced manufacturing operations serving aerospace, defense, semiconductor, and energy industries Work with a skilled maintenance team in a technically challenging manufacturing environment Opportunities to expand your knowledge of industrial equipment, utilities, and automation systems Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holidays, and career development opportunities Search Process Note The Elmet Group is managing this search directly and is not accepting submissions from outside recruitment firms.
