Kelvion - Together, We Shape the Future The Role- 2nd Shift Perform activities concerned with maintenance of equipment and machinery in industrial plant by performing the following duties. What you will be responsible for: Repairs and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment. Performs monthly inspections on all production equipment and replacement parts. Confers with department managers to coordinate monthly inspections. Must have a valid driver's license to be able to drive to different locations within the Port. Observes and inspects mechanical devices in operation may consist of listening to equipment in operation to determine mechanical needing adjusted or replaced some disassembly is required to access certain devises needing to be observed mechanical skills are required in repairing mechanical equipment. Examines form and integrity of parts to detect imperfections, inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements tests machinery and equipment listens for unusual sounds from machinery or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation with supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. Performs preventive maintenance on all types of equipment cleans lubricates and makes required adjustments as required. Will perform building maintenance strong mechanical background and some carpentry skills needed. Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on-site, ability to work overtime. Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management. Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
