We are looking for a motivated, self-starter to join our team and assist us in maintaining our Salem properties! Accompanied by an on-site property manager, you must be able to communicate effectively and work well both on a team and on your own individual assignments. Competitive wage based on experience. Maintenance Team Members are responsible for: Maintaining the physical condition and appearance of the property (grounds, internal, exterior) Diagnosing and performing minor and routine maintenance/repairs in a timely and professional manner Timely work request service, quality turnover / make-ready schedule Assuring all service requests are completed on a daily basis to company standards and the resident's satisfaction Available/on call for after-hours emergencies as needed Effectively coordinating and communicating with the on-site property manager, as well as the maintenance supervisor Establishing relationships with local vendors Per service requests, turnovers, or property needs assignments include but are not limited to painting, electrical wiring, construction, janitorial duties, and landscaping Additional duties as assigned Requirements for this position include: Minimum of 1 year experience in property maintenance or equivalent (3-5 years preferred) High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license Authorized to work in the US Resume required with references Must pass pre-employment criminal background check Must be able to provide a driving abstract with insurable record Qualifications Effective conflict resolution Customer service Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail Dependable availability Strong, clear communication skills Basic knowledge of computers and web-based programs Personal accountability Problem solving Physical aspects of the job are: Heavy lifting and carrying (50lbs+) Bending / kneeling / stooping Climbing and balancing Inside and outside work environment - including all weather conditions as needed Schedule Full time 40 hours per week On-call availability required - including nights and weekends Competitive wage based on experience, as well as full benefits, paid time off, six paid holidays, and a positive, team-oriented work environment!
