3007319288-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Giant Eagle is seeking a Distribution Center Maintenance Technician to keep our high-volume retail distribution operations running smoothly. In this role, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems, palletizers, forklifts, racking, and building equipment to support safe, efficient product flow. You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues, coordinate with operations on downtime, and follow safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair distribution center equipment, including conveyors, palletizers, forklifts, and racking Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life Diagnose mechanical and basic electrical issues using tools, meters, and technical documentation Respond to urgent maintenance requests to support continuous warehouse operations Use a CMMS or work order system to document maintenance activities and parts usage Follow all safety, OSHA, and company procedures to maintain a safe work environment Collaborate with operations and supervisors to plan repairs around production needs Assist with facility upkeep, including lighting, docks, doors, and general building systems Required Skills Industrial equipment maintenance Mechanical troubleshooting Basic electrical repair Conveyor systems Preventive maintenance (PM) Reading technical manuals and schematics Welding or fabrication basics Forklift and material-handling systems CMMS or maintenance work order systems Safety and OSHA compliance
