Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Handyman to join our team, responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and upkeep of our facilities and equipment. This role requires a versatile professional with strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills, capable of handling a variety of maintenance tasks across residential, manufacturing, and facility environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership abilities, customer service orientation, and proficiency with maintenance systems and tools. Duties Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, machinery, and equipment. Troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Conduct welding and mechanical repairs, including working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Execute residential painting projects as needed to maintain facility aesthetics. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Supervise junior staff or contractors during maintenance projects to ensure safety and quality standards. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC repairs. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during all maintenance activities. Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from internal teams or clients. Lead small projects or oversee subcontractors when required, demonstrating leadership skills. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance, manufacturing environments, or related fields. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and use diagnostic tools like ohmmeters. Electrical experience including troubleshooting electrical systems and working with PLCs. Skilled in welding and residential painting techniques. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management. Supervising or leadership experience is preferred. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team coordination. Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and safety procedures. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
