Hire Position Description:
Join a dynamic team as a Production Maintenance Technician I, supporting critical facility operations in Greenville, SC. In this role, you'll perform preventive maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, ensuring smooth and safe production processes. Your expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work will be vital to maintaining high operational standards. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced technicians seeking a stable, contract-to-hire position with competitive pay and a collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and timely repairs on facility equipment, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and process machinery. Conduct shift rounds, document performance metrics, and communicate findings to operational leadership. Complete work orders accurately within the CMMS and ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities. Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts, with proper certification. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to OSHA and company safety protocols. Collaborate with site leadership to understand work requests and troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently. Assist in troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems, and rebuild equipment as needed. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing facility safety, efficiency, and reliability.
Top Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent; extensive mechanical experience (2+ years) including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry. Valid driver's license, forklift operator's license, and JLG operator's license preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including ladder and lift work. Strong communication skills and a safety-oriented mindset. Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance procedures.
