Job Summary:
As a Garage Door Technician Helper, you will assist with the installation, service, and maintenance of residential and commercial overhead garage doors and related products. This position will also help load and organize materials, maintain inventory, and ensure the proper tools and products are available for each job. Pay for this
Role:
$16.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience. Assist with the installation, service, and maintenance of residential and commercial overhead garage doors and related products. Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing garage doors, hardware, tools, and other materials needed for installations. Use hand and power tools safely and properly to complete assigned work. Follow company installation standards and all required safety procedures. Inspect completed work and assist with troubleshooting installation or service issues. Maintain accurate inventory of garage door products, parts, and installation materials. Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including jobsites, vehicles, and the shop. Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time. Drive to and from jobsites as needed. Provide support in the door shop when not assigned to jobsite installations. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous construction, installation, or garage door experience preferred, but not required. Basic carpentry skills are a plus. Familiarity with hand and power tools. Ability to accurately read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
