The position is located in Blum, TX . Will perform preventative maintenance and repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, simple electrical equipment and general facility ground maintenance as needed utilizing acquired knowledge and skills to minimize down time resulting from equipment or facility breakdowns. Reports directly to the Plant Manager Requirements May be required to be on-call, work overtime and weekends on occasion. High school diploma required. Minimum of 2 years of experience with CNC maintenance in a manufacturing environment Requires the ability to read facility utility equipment manuals. Use of computerized building management system to maintain and troubleshoot facility equipment. Advanced understanding of equipment/systems and in the diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical problems. Basic project management and planning/scheduling projects/repairs. Document clearly (verbal and written) and ability to work from verbal and written instructions, manuals, wiring diagrams, work orders and specification. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment. Ability to diagnose motor failures and other electrical components within a CNC Machine such as Doosan, DMG Mori and MORI Seiki, Fanuc. Knowledge of Critical safety devices and functionality. Ability to demonstrate understanding of blueprints, Original Equipment Manufacturer manuals, Bill of Materials and Standard Operating Procedures. Knowledge and proper use of hand and power tools. The ability to demonstrate an understanding of lean manufacturing principles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Represent DMC locally Follow all safety, environmental, quality and 5S rules and regulations Performs general repairs of mechanical, hydraulic and simple electrical equipment. Performs general repairs and maintenance to facility and grounds of both sites. Carries out preventative maintenance on equipment, including machines, hand tools, forklifts, etc. Completes accurate maintenance records including audits. Identifies and corrects equipment problems; proposes methods for improving maintenance efficiency and minimizing equipment down time. Sets up and operates new equipment/machines prior to placing in service at the site.. Communicates company policies to workers and demonstrates and enforces safety regulations. Confers with other leads and management personnel to coordinate activities of individual work centers. Ability to write routine correspondence, reports and procedures Ability of obtaining a company certificate for forklift and overhead crane operation and trucks and/or other equipment as necessary in the movement of materials. Responsible for the upkeep of the 5 "S" system and general housekeeping of the work centers.
