Maintenance Technician CNC and Industrial Equipment Job Description This role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems within a modern, climate-controlled engine blade repair facility. The technician works with CNC equipment, AC/DC motors, control systems, and industrial piping to ensure machines operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, vacuum, and light electrical/electronic issues on a variety of machine tools. Read and interpret assembly drawings, repair manuals, schematics, and instruction sheets for mechanical and electrical/electronic assemblies. Perform general maintenance on three-phase AC motors and DC motors. Troubleshoot AC/DC control systems, including PLCs and variable frequency drives (VFDs). Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters and amperemeters to test and verify electrical performance. Perform maintenance on pumps, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, speed reducers, and ball screw motion systems. Work with and support CNC equipment, including routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting. Install and repair piping systems, including copper, PVC, black iron, and stainless steel. Safely operate forklifts and man lifts as needed for maintenance and repair activities. Follow written procedures and instructions, including FAA-regulated documentation, to perform work accurately and safely. Complete required training during the initial days on the job and apply learned procedures in daily work. Adhere to facility safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work methods. Essential Skills Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, vacuum, and light electrical/electronic problems on machine tools. Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, repair manuals, schematics, and instruction sheets. Hands-on experience performing maintenance on three-phase AC motors and DC motors. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot AC/DC control systems, including PLCs and VFDs. Proficiency using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and amperemeters. Experience maintaining pumps, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, speed reducers, and ball screw motion systems. Familiarity with CNC equipment and its maintenance requirements. Ability to install and repair copper, PVC, black iron, and stainless steel piping systems. Experience operating forklifts and man lifts in an industrial setting. Knowledge of electrical maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Experience with Allen-Bradley or similar industrial control systems. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write English to follow technical documentation and FAA-regulated instructions. Willingness and ability to wear steel-toe footwear as required by the facility. Additional Skills & Qualifications Maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Experience in PLC troubleshooting and electrical maintenance on production equipment. Familiarity with troubleshooting complex AC/DC control systems in high-precision environments. Comfort working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems on machinery. Ability to complete initial training within the first three days and maintain ongoing compliance with regulated procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
