POSITION INFO
This position is in the Nacogdoches Maintenance Department. Primarily responsible for providing mechanical/electrical breakdown or troubleshooting services and/or any other duties as assigned by supervisor. Texas State Journeyman's Electrical License or equivalent is a plus. Computer and mechanical experience required. A history of good attendance and a positive attitude are required. This position also requires the employee to work with minimal supervision and the ability to work under pressure. Understanding of and experience with mechanical and electrical equipment, and a strong focus on working safely is a must. A minimum of 40 hours / week is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily housekeeping activities Daily safety checks for unsafe acts and conditions Work closely with production associates and supervision to fill their needs to accomplish highest production efficiency Make repairs on all equipment within the plant. Fill in as breakdown technician in any department as needed Promote lean manufacturing in all processes. Any other assigned duties as specified by supervisor
EXPERIENCE
1 to 2 years Industural Maintenance perfered
EDUCATION
GED or High School Diploma a plus
TRAINING AND SKILLS
Demonstrated electrical troubleshooting skills Demonstrated mechanical aptitude Welding and cutting skills Fork truck qualified Customer focus Must be able to work in adverse conditions such as extreme temperatures, confined spaces, and elevated positions Must be able to wear a respirator Teamwork / Collaboration Ability to use measuring instruments Read prints and design drawings Operate power tools Good work ethic
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
Ability to continuously stand or walk. Ability to bend, squat, & lift < 35 pounds frequently Ability to climb stairs occasionally Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to move rolling product cart > 150 pounds occasionally Ability to wear required PPE This is a manufacturing environment with minimal climate control. Ability to work in a hot environment.
