Make Ready Technician - Keystone Apartments (Weslaco, TX) Full-Time | Property Maintenance | Competitive Pay Keystone Apartments is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Make Ready Technician to join our maintenance team in Weslaco, TX. This role is essential to ensuring our apartment homes are clean, functional, and welcoming for new residents. Position Summary The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacated apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and general maintenance tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, time management, and a commitment to providing an exceptional move-in experience. Key Responsibilities Inspect vacated units and complete the make-ready checklist Identify and report required repairs to the Property Manager or Maintenance Supervisor Restore apartments to "market-ready" condition, including: Checking and replacing lights Repairing/replacing windows, screens, latches, doors, shelves, baseboards, and mirrors Inspecting and testing appliances; assisting with appliance removal/installation Making and programming keys Repairing faucets, sinks, and plumbing fixtures as needed Performing sheetrock repairs and painting Fixing mini-blinds, ceiling fans, wall damage, and bathroom tile issues Replacing A/C filters Assist with unit trash-outs and removal of bulky items Help maintain clean, safe community grounds Support the maintenance team as needed, including occasional after-hours or weekend work Deliver notices to residents Follow all safety procedures and correct unsafe conditions promptly Present a professional, positive image when interacting with residents, vendors, and team members Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent General knowledge of apartment maintenance and repair techniques Ability to safely operate power tools and maintenance equipment Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and general safety regulations Ability to walk the property, climb stairs, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends or on-call shifts Why Join Keystone Apartments?
