Job Summary:

J. R. Lloyd Construction is hiring Septic System Service Technicians to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair conventional and alternative onsite sewage systems (AOSS) and alternative discharge systems. Open to all experience levels, from entry-level to licensed Journeyman and Master AOSS Operators. Key Responsibilities Inspection & Maintenance Perform routine inspections and O&M service visits per Virginia regulations Collect field data and lab samples; document system performance Identify deficiencies, recommend fixes, and report findings to owners and supervisors Service & Repairs Diagnose and repair pumps, floats, control panels, and distribution components Troubleshoot alarms and hydraulic issues; perform minor excavation and part replacement Field Operations Safely operate service vehicles and equipment; keep vehicle and job sites organized Follow safety protocols for confined spaces, excavation, and utilities Coordinate with office staff, inspectors, and regulators as needed Documentation Complete digital service reports and inspection forms using our field software Qualifications Must be 18+, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in all weather Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and clear communication Experience in septic, plumbing, construction, or electrical trades a plus Sewage System Operator License (Journeyman/Master) preferred, not required; unlicensed candidates must be willing to train and certify

Pay:

$22.50 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
