In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept floors across various environments. Your expertise in floor care and cleaning techniques will ensure our spaces are inviting and hygienic for staff and visitors alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a clean and healthy environment while developing your skills in commercial cleaning and floor maintenance. Duties Perform comprehensive floor cleaning tasks including scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely, following all environmental and safety protocols Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, polishers, and carpet cleaners with precision Execute detailed floor care routines including carpet cleaning, floor waxing, buffing, and refinishing to restore surfaces to their best condition Maintain a clean work environment by performing routine cleaning duties using appropriate chemical agents and tools Assist with environmental services tasks to ensure compliance with health and safety standards Skills Proven experience with floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques Knowledge of handling chemical agents used in floor cleaning and maintenance safely and effectively Ability to operate various cleaning equipment including carpet cleaners, floor buffers, and polishers Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy equipment or materials safely Familiarity with environmental services practices related to commercial cleaning environments Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in all cleaning tasks Join us as a Floor Technician on the 2nd shift where your dedication will directly impact the cleanliness, safety, and overall environment of our facilities.
