Job Description

Job Overview:
Diamond West is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Data Communications Technician Lead to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various low voltage systems. This is a hands-on role that requires analyzation of blueprints and schematics to connect cables safely and accurately.
Job Duties:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage systems, including but not limited to: voice and data cabling, security systems, audiovisual equipment, and telecommunications infrastructure
  • Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, form, dress cables and determine length.
Suspend and support cables correctly:
cable tray, J-hook, D-rings, Bridal rings, Trapeze.
  • Flag Potential Risks
  • Test and certify low voltage systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Perform fire-stopping procedures on fire walls, install sleeves.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve project efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in both indoor/outdoor construction environments.
  • Be self-motivated. positive in approach, help create and develop.
  • Must have proven skill level or ability to interpret blueprints and project documents.
  • Must be able to work at heights, on a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs.
  • Be able to distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
  • The ability to travel within Arizona. Mainly Chandler, Gilbert and Scottsdale.
  • Proficient in using hand tools and specialized equipment for installation and maintenance tasks
Competency:
OTDR Single Mode and Multimode FLUK Communication and Transparency Organization/ Multitasking Soft Proficiency Procore Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Teams Dependent on industry experience employment may come with company work truck after 90 days.
