The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, troubleshooting issues in the field, and completing installations from cabling through final testing. Key Responsibilities Install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial access control and CCTV systems Install and terminate low-voltage cabling, including Cat5e, Cat6, and security cable Install and wire card readers, electric strikes, maglocks, request-to-exit devices, door contacts, motion sensors, and control panels Install, aim, and troubleshoot IP and analog surveillance cameras Perform device mounting, cable terminations, labeling, testing, and system verification Configure and troubleshoot cameras, access control panels, NVRs, and related security equipment Read and interpret floor plans, security drawings, wiring diagrams, and device schedules Troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, power, and hardware issues Coordinate with project managers, other trades, and customers to complete projects on schedule Maintain professional workmanship, job-site safety, and accurate project documentation Requirements Minimum 5 years of security / low-voltage technician experience Strong hands-on experience with access control and CCTV systems Experience installing and troubleshooting commercial security systems Strong understanding of low-voltage cabling, terminations, and testing Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems in the field Ability to use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipment Ability to communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and other technicians Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Experience Experience working on commercial, industrial, warehouse, healthcare, education, or government projects Experience with platforms such as Lenel, Brivo, Avigilon, Openpath, Kantech, AMAG, DSX, Verkada, Axis, or similar systems Manufacturer certifications or security-system training are a plus but not required Experience with network-based security systems and basic IP/network troubleshooting is a plus Compensation $30-$38 per hour , depending on experience Consistent opportunities for overtime Weekly pay Long-term project opportunities #SEG3
