Structured Cabling Technician I Location:

Irvine, CA

Schedule/Shift:

Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts; overtime as needed

Pay:

$22.00-$25.00 per hour Job Summary The Structured Cabling Technician I supports the installation and maintenance of low-voltage cabling systems in commercial construction environments. This role assists with cable routing, installation, termination, and related structured cabling activities while following project specifications and safety requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on low-voltage or commercial construction experience, reliable transportation, and the ability to work scheduled overtime as project needs require. Job Responsibilities Assist with the installation, routing, pulling, and organization of low-voltage cabling. Support structured cabling installations in commercial construction environments. Assist with cable termination, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting as directed. Install and support cabling pathways, racks, and related infrastructure as required. Read and follow project plans, work instructions, and installation specifications. Maintain organized and professional work areas throughout each project. Follow applicable workplace safety procedures and construction-site requirements. Work collaboratively with technicians, supervisors, project managers, and other trades. Complete assigned work accurately and within established project timelines. Perform additional cabling and installation duties as assigned. Job Requirements Previous low-voltage, structured cabling, or commercial construction experience preferred. Working knowledge of basic low-voltage cabling installation practices. Ability to use common hand tools and equipment associated with cabling installations. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work Monday through Friday and complete overtime when required. Must have reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle for local project travel. Ability to perform physical tasks commonly associated with commercial cabling and construction work. Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.) Work is primarily local to the Irvine, CA area. Candidates who are open to travel may be considered for projects outside the local area. Overtime may be required based on project needs. Selected candidates will participate in an interview with project management. Interviews are generally conducted Thursdays and Fridays between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
