Security Camera Installation Technician Company:
Remote Ally Remote Ally is hiring an Installation Technician to support the deployment of high-definition IP camera systems and Virtual Guard Post-enabled sites nationwide. This role is hands-on and field-focused. You'll be responsible for installing cameras, running and terminating cable, building out network racks, and delivering clean, professional installs that meet Remote Ally's standards and directly support our remote monitoring operations. What You'll Do Install and position HD IP security cameras (indoor & outdoor) Run, dress, and terminate CAT5/CAT6, coax, and related low-voltage cabling Install, bend, and secure conduit in commercial and industrial environments Mount and organize NVRs, switches, patch panels, and network racks Support Virtual Guard Post site readiness (camera coverage, reliability, uptime) Perform installs in warehouses, parking facilities, retail locations, restaurants, office buildings, and industrial sites Complete installation sign-off documentation with customers and Remote Ally technicians Travel to out-of-state installation sites as needed (all travel covered) Hands-on training is provided, including Remote Ally installation standards and Virtual Guard Post system expectations. What We're Looking For Experience installing security cameras or low-voltage systems Strong understanding of structured cabling and physical installations Basic networking knowledge (modems, routers, switches, wireless devices) Ability to work independently and follow standardized install procedures Professional appearance, communication, and customer-facing demeanor Strong attention to detail and pride in clean, organized work For local installs: reliable vehicle capable of carrying tools, ladders, and equipment Technicians are expected to supply their own standard installation tools Qualifications & Skills Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Positive attitude toward training and continuous improvement Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Comfortable working in active job sites and industrial environments Ability to take direction and execute independently in the field Travel This role includes regular travel , including multi-day out-of-state installs. All travel expenses (flights, lodging, meals) are fully covered by Remote Ally.
