What You'll Do Technical Installation & Support Assist lead technicians with installing structured cabling (low-voltage wiring), mounting cameras, card readers, alarm devices, and related security equipment. Learn how to configure and program video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems. Troubleshoot wiring, connectivity, and equipment issues while developing technical expertise. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials in a clean, organized, and professional manner. Support project completion through quality workmanship and attention to detail. Operational & Logistical Responsibilities Accurately document completed work using Microsoft Office tools and company systems. Travel up to 100% of the time to commercial job sites across multiple states, typically with weekends at home. Follow all company, customer, and job-site safety requirements. Represent Alliant Security professionally with customers, vendors, and fellow team members. Skills & Qualifications We're willing to train the right person, but candidates with relevant experience and licensing will be highly valued. Preferred Experience Previous experience installing, servicing, or supporting low-voltage systems. Experience with CCTV/video surveillance, access control, intrusion alarms, structured cabling, networking, or related technologies. Experience in commercial construction, telecommunications, electrical, or technology installation environments. Familiarity with reading plans, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation. Licensing & Technical Qualifications Current low-voltage license strongly preferred. Ability to obtain and maintain required state low-voltage licensing. Basic understanding of electronics, low-voltage wiring, power tools, and network infrastructure. Technical training, military experience, trade school education, or relevant industry certifications are a plus. Professional Skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to follow instructions while demonstrating initiative and accountability. Willingness to travel frequently. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check. Physical Requirements Stooping, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods. Crawling in confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces. Working safely on ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms. Lifting and carrying tools, equipment, and materials.
