Low Voltage / Fiber Technician•
Data Center Projects Location:
Columbus, OH (Groveport/Ashville/New Albany)

$30•40/hr Fiber Techs (Splicing & Testing): $40•50/hr Position Overview We are actively hiring Low Voltage and Fiber Technicians to join our team supporting hyperscale data center and large-scale construction projects across the Columbus, OH market. This is a long-term opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure builds , with consistent hours and the ability to grow within data center environments. Scope of Work Pull, route, and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 cabling Perform RJ45 terminations, testing, and certification Build and dress MDF/IDF closets, patch panels, and racks Install cable pathways (ladder rack, J-hooks, conduit, unistrut) Support installation of cabinets, devices, and infrastructure components
For Fiber Technicians:
Perform fusion splicing (single fiber and ribbon) Conduct OTDR testing and fiber troubleshooting Handle fiber cleaning, prepping, and terminations Support backbone and distribution fiber installs Requirements Experience with structured cabling and low voltage installations Strong ability to perform clean RJ45 terminations and patch panel work For fiber roles: experience with fusion splicing and OTDR testing Ability to work in construction and data center environments Must have basic hand tools and PPE Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a high-production environment Preferred Qualifications Data center or hyperscale project experience Experience with cage builds, IDF/MDF buildouts, and pathway installation Certifications such as BICSI, OSHA, or Lift Certs Work Environment Active construction and data center sites Team-oriented, fast-paced production environment Opportunity to work on large-scale, long-term builds Why Join This Team Work on hyperscale data center projects Competitive pay based on skill set Consistent hours and long-term opportunities Strong leadership and structured project environments Opportunity to grow into higher-level roles within the data center space #tekone
Pay:
$30.00•$50.00 per hour
