Commercial Cable Technician (Structured Cabling & Network Infrastructure)

- who take pride in clean installs, quality workmanship, and keeping critical network infrastructure running smoothly. If you have strong structured cabling experience and enjoy working in fast-paced commercial environments, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do
- Install, route, and support low-voltage cabling throughout commercial facilities
- Run Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, coax, and other structured cabling systems through ceilings, walls, and raised flooring
- Utilize J-hooks, cable trays, and other support systems to ensure organized cable management
- Terminate and punch down voice and data cabling, patch panels, jacks, and communication blocks
- Install and mount Wireless Access Points (WAPs)
- Assist with server room buildouts, rack-and-stack activities, and cable organization
- Test, troubleshoot, and certify cabling systems using industry-standard testing equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and telecommunications schematics
- Label, document, and maintain accurate records of all cable installations
- Ensure all work meets safety requirements, building codes, and industry standards What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in commercial low-voltage or structured cabling environments
- Strong experience with:
- Structured cabling installations
- Cat5e/Cat6 cabling
- Cable routing and cable management
- Punch-downs and terminations
- Patch panels and network infrastructure
- Wireless Access Point (WAP) installations
- Rack-and-stack/server room organization
- Experience working with fiber optic and coax systems is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints and telecom drawings
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, punch-down tools, cable testers, and certifiers
- Ability to lift up to 50-80 lbs., climb ladders, and work above ceilings or in confined spaces
- Ability to identify wire color codes accurately Why Join Us?

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following:
