This is a 6‑month contract position with the potential for extension or permanent placement. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and an interest in building a career in telecommunications. Key Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications systems and equipment Perform routine inspections and troubleshoot network and connectivity issues Configure and program telecommunications devices and systems Support VoIP, PBX systems, routers, switches, and structured cabling Collaborate with team members to ensure reliable network performance Provide technical support to end users by diagnosing and resolving issues Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and service activities Follow all safety guidelines and industry standards Stay current with emerging telecommunications technologies and best practices Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical certifications are a plus) Basic knowledge of telecommunications systems and structured cabling (Cat6) Familiarity with routers, switches, and network protocols Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Preferred Skills & Traits Cat6 cabling experience Strong work ethic Punctual and reliable Attention to detail Benefits Competitive compensation with opportunity for long‑term employment Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Professional development and growth opportunities Supportive and team‑focused work environment How to Apply If you're an entry‑level Telecommunications Technician looking to grow your career with a well‑established organization, apply today to join TEKsystems Inc. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Gallatin, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
