This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects involving structured cabling, fiber optic systems, CCTV, VoIP, and network infrastructure. You will be the frontline expert ensuring our clients' communication and security systems operate flawlessly, delivering exceptional service and technical proficiency every day. Duties Install, terminate, and troubleshoot structured cabling systems including Cat5, Cat6, fiber optic cables, and low-voltage electrical wiring for telecommunications and data networks Set up and configure networking equipment such as Cisco routers, Juniper devices, switches, and VoIP telephony systems to ensure seamless communication channels Conduct fiber splicing and fiber optic system installation to support high-speed data transmission needs Perform CCTV installation, camera calibration, and ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal security surveillance coverage Utilize diagnostic tools like ohmmeters, multimeters, and telecommunication testing equipment to identify faults and perform equipment repairs Test radio frequency (RF) signals and perform network wiring inspections to verify system integrity and performance Follow schematics, technical diagrams, and blueprints to accurately install communication systems while adhering to safety standards Experience Proven experience in field service roles involving telecommunications systems installation or maintenance Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet cabling, LAN setup, network wiring, and telecommunication protocols Hands-on experience with fiber splicing techniques and fiber optic systems installation Familiarity with telephony systems such as Avaya or similar platforms; experience with Cisco routers and Juniper network devices is highly desirable Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and telecommunication testing equipment efficiently in various environments Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems for troubleshooting power-related issues within communication setups Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of varying technical backgrounds This role offers a vibrant work environment where your technical skills will be valued and continuously developed.
