Job Description

Responsibilities:
- Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6, voice, data, security, paging, nurse call, and fiber optic systems
- Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers)
- Punch down voice and data jacks
- Perform punch-downs, cross-connects, fiber termination, and fiber splicing according to industry standards and color codes
- Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc.
- Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights)
- Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts
- Install and support access control, CCTV, audio/visual, security, paging, and nurse call systems
Requirements:
- 2+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience
- Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred
- Experience with fiber optic installation, termination, and/or splicing preferred
- BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus
- Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
- Working knowledge of telecom/data networks
- Willingness to travel to job sites within Wisconsin as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend, lift, twist, turn, crawl into tight spaces, frequently climb and work from 6'+ ladders and lifts, perform extended overhead cabling/wiring, and load, unload, and move materials up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Why Work with Next Level Technician in Appleton, WI?Weekly Pay:
