Low Voltage Technician - Structured Cabling | Brookfield, WI Join Next Level Technician as a Low Voltage Technician in Brookfield, WI ! Earn $20-$24/hr , enjoy weekly pay, benefits, and steady work with a national leader. !
Responsibilities:
Pull, terminate, dress, and label CAT5e/CAT6, voice, data, security, paging, nurse call, and fiber optic systems Test installed cable (Fluke or similar testers) Punch down voice and data jacks Perform punch-downs, cross-connects, fiber termination, and fiber splicing according to industry standards and color codes Install racks, patch panels, cable trays, cabinets, MDF/IDF, etc. Work safely on ladders/lifts (comfortable with heights) Read and interpret blueprints/system layouts Install and support access control, CCTV, audio/visual, security, paging, and nurse call systems
Requirements:
2+ years commercial/industrial low voltage experience Experience with structured cabling, voice/data, or security systems preferred Experience with fiber optic installation, termination, and/or splicing preferred BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications a plus Basic hand tools and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots) Working knowledge of telecom/data networks Willingness to travel to job sites within Wisconsin as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend, lift, twist, turn, crawl into tight spaces, frequently climb and work from 6'+ ladders and lifts, perform extended overhead cabling/wiring, and load, unload, and move materials up to 50 lbs. without assistance. Why Work with Next Level Technician in Brookfield, WI?
