Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related systems. Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections. Repair and maintain engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, steering, and other mechanical systems. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Complete work orders and accurately document repairs. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and manufacturer specifications. Provide guidance to Mechanic I staff. Communicate repair needs and recommendations to management. Assist with any additional shop duties as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Valid driver's license. 3-5 years Diesel Mechanic experience required. Journeyman level diesel experience required. Previous experience diagnosing and repairing diesel vehicles/equipment. Strong mechanical and troubleshooting experience. Ability to take initiative, work independently, and be a part of a team. Knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and related components. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
