Job Description

Experience:
Mid Level Salary:
$35 - $50 per hour Job Details -
Key Responsibilities Refrigeration Diagnostics:
Troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul transport refrigeration systems (primarily Thermo King and Carrier units).
Refrigerant Handling:
Recover, evacuate, and recharge refrigerant systems following EPA guidelines.
Diesel & Mechanical Repair:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air/hydraulic brakes, suspension components, steering systems, and electrical wiring on Class 7 and Class 8 commercial trucks. Preventative Maintenance (PM): Perform scheduled vehicle and reefer unit maintenance, oil changes, belt replacements, and multi-point safety checks.
DOT Inspections:
Conduct federal and state-mandated vehicle and trailer inspections, filling out precise electronic documentation.
Requirements & Qualifications Experience:
2 to 4+ years of hands-on experience working on heavy-duty diesel trucks. Experience on transport refrigeration equipment trucks a plus.
Driver's License:
A valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record. (Class A or B commercial license is a plus).
Tools:
Must provide personal standard hand and pneumatic tools; specialized diagnostic software and service vehicle provided by the employer.
Certifications:
Thermo King or Carrier factory certifications and EPA refrigerant certification a plus.
