Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including construction machinery, industrial equipment, and fleet vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our machinery and vehicles. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, electrical systems, and other key components using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and alignment procedures to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues across heavy equipment including construction machinery, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and vehicle fleets. Repair and fabricate parts using welding techniques and power tools to ensure proper fitment and function of machinery components. Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inspection reports to track maintenance history and support warranty claims. Assist with heavy lifting operations using appropriate heavy equipment tools while adhering to safety protocols. Support electrical diagnostics and repairs on various equipment systems to ensure proper operation of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, sensors, and control modules. Experience Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician in dealership settings or industrial environments. Strong background in construction equipment servicing including excavators, cranes, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery. Familiarity with OEM specifications for diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical diagnostics. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems and understanding heavy equipment operation manuals. Ability to perform automotive diagnostics related to diesel engine repair and automotive repair procedures. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools necessary for effective repairs. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding repair needs.
