Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Shop Foreman/Master Diesel Mechanic to lead our team and ensure the optimal managment our customers heavy equipment, trucks, and industrial machinery. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee repair and maintenance activities, mentor technicians, and contribute to a safe, efficient, and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in diesel mechanics, heavy equipment repair, and automotive diagnostics, combined with strong leadership qualities to manage daily shop operations effectively. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities, ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance for heavy equipment, trucks, and farm machinery Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems, HVAC components, and other mechanical systems Lead troubleshooting efforts using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues accurately and efficiently Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized machinery for fabrication and repairs Manage inventory levels of parts and supplies; order necessary components to minimize downtime Encourage safety protocols are followed repair procedures Mentor and train technicians on proper repair techniques, new technologies, and industry best practices Ensure maintenance of shop tools and equipment. Collaborate with service technicians to diagnose vehicle systems for truck drivers; provide guidance on complex repairs. Perform repairs as need to help with daily workflow. Skills Extensive experience with Diesel Trucks, Trailers and or automotive repair preferred Proficiency in fabricating parts or components using welding and metalworking tools Strong knowledge of diagnostic repair systems namely, CAT, Detroit, Cummins, International, Etc. Ability to read schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic systems CDL Licensed Expertise in vehicle maintenance including tire service, alignment, shocks & struts replacement Skilled in diagnosing issues related to transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems & powertrain components Mechanical knowledge of automotive electrical systems; CAN BUS communication Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with technicians, clients or fleet managers about repairs and maintenance needs Join our team as a Shop Foreman/Master Diesel Mechanic where your expertise will drive operational excellence!
