Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using schematics, vehicle electrical systems, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and other mechanical systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy trucks, farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify machinery as needed. Execute vehicle maintenance tasks including tire service, wheel alignment, shock & strut replacement, air brake system repairs, and HVAC servicing. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems efficiently. Perform heavy lifting safely when handling large components or equipment during repairs or assembly processes. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations while delivering excellent customer service to truck drivers and equipment operators. Qualifications Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and vehicle electrical systems. Skilled in automotive diagnostics and the use of schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Proficiency in welding, fabrication, soldering, and the use of power tools for equipment repair or assembly tasks. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately for efficient repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions safely.
