Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of commercial transportation sectors. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brakes, and suspension components using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as tractors, trailers, and other machinery to ensure reliable operation. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding and hand tools to meet OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently by analyzing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to identify root causes. Complete routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment lifespan and reduce downtime. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards. Operate heavy equipment safely during testing or troubleshooting procedures while maintaining a focus on safety protocols. Be able to provide knowledge and capability to operate a roadside service truck with appropriate skills including customer service. Experience Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic within dealership environments or industrial settings. Strong background in heavy equipment servicing including construction machinery, farm machinery, power tools, and automotive repair. Skilled in electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, welding, fabrication, and equipment troubleshooting. Knowledge of Caterpillar (CAT) equipment or similar OEM brands is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with HVAC systems on heavy machinery is a plus. Ability to perform tire service, brake repair, alignment adjustments, and suspension repairs efficiently. Demonstrated ability to work with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic software, and lifting equipment safely while maintaining high-quality standards.
