Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems across various heavy equipment and vehicles Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment checks, and HVAC system servicing to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and electrical/automotive diagnostics tools to identify root causes efficiently Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements Service construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and other industrial equipment ensuring they operate at peak performance Maintain accurate records of all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities while adhering to safety standards and company policies Assist with heavy lifting tasks and perform equipment assembly or disassembly for major repairs or upgrades Be available to be on-call and to travel when required Qualifications Experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred; background in heavy equipment maintenance Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and transmission repairs Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues; familiar with OEM manuals and service bulletins Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of performing precise repairs on construction machinery and industrial equipment Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other construction machinery; valid certifications are advantageous Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining high safety standards Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members Join us as a Diesel Mechanic Helper if you're passionate about keeping heavy machinery running smoothly!
