Diesel Maintenance Technician (B)Job Overview Vehicle Technician B will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment; perform job duties independently with limited supervision; provide mentoring and assistance to Vehicle Technician C's as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesBasic welding and cutting torch operation skillsBasic electrical, mechanical diagnostics, and repair skillsUnderstanding of tire ination systemsKnowledge and ability to mount and dismount tiresBasic diagnostic tool skillsAbility to schedule and prioritize daily tasksMust ad to company uniform and appearance standardsProfessional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customersAbility to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions tools, equipment, machinery and, or materials used to power, hand, diagnostic tools operate material handling equipmentMust be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors working conditionsMust be able to work a exible schedule and be able to vary the start and nish times, possibly including weekends and holidaysBasic computer skillsEach technician needs to provide their own toolsMinimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldHigh school diploma or GEDKnowledge acquired through 3-5 years of relevant work experienceD.O.T. Brake Inspection certificationAbility to obtain a DOT medical cardCoca-Cola Consolidated is the nation's largest Coca-Cola bottler. Our diesel/fleet mechanics service external customers as well as Coca-Cola Consolidated fleet equipment. Technicians are employed by Coca Cola Consolidated, Inc and managed by Red Classic Transit, LLC.
