Job Summary We are a 31 year, family-run local trucking business with a great opportunity for a mechanic to join our family. We're looking to hire a mechanic, and or assist our shop foreman to do general repairs for our trucks and trailers. You would work along side two long-term team members willing to help train and support you. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Wage based on experience Perform inspections and preventative maintenance of vehicles and equipment. Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication and filter replacement. Repair, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric, and brake accessories). Test drive vehicles and test components using proper equipment. Troubleshoot and repair suspension systems. Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems,k exhaust systems, steering systems, air conditioning, PTOs, and custom exhaust systems. Adjust, remove, and replace clutches and drivelines. Troubleshoot and repair fifth wheels, trailer, hitches, auxiliary axles, and frames. Perform basic aluminum and steel wire welding (will train). Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Airbrake General mechanical Knowledge Military/Experience

DOT CERTIFIED OR WILL SEND FOR TRAINING

Utilize computer and scanner Maintain perfect safety records Ability to lift parts and equipment Willing to Learn welding and fabrication Ability to work on your feet Must provide tools CDL helpful or we have training in house Five-bay, heated shop with additional wash bay

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
